Harry Winston Pop Up Salon at New World Symphony (February 2013)

The Challenge

Bombshell Productions is never afraid of an empty room. Instead of being daunted by the enormity of starting from nothing, we see infinite possibilities. With the Harry Winston Pop Up Salon project, our crew was given a rehearsal room at the New World Symphony Hall in Miami Beach. The space was to become a boutique with the elegance, polish and presence to showcase the world-famous Harry Winston jewels and accessories, complete with artwork, marketing collateral and models.

Harry Winston Diamonds was the title sponsor for the New World's Symphony's annual fundraiser, and as a title sponsor, wanted a representation that was meticulously accurate and true to their global aesthetic. When completed, the experience was to be one that a customer would have at any Harry Winston salon anywhere in the world.

The Strategy

Bombshell Productions began with conceptual designs and 3-D renderings that mimicked the Harry Winston aesthetic, down to the silver grey carpeting and sophisticated, minimalistic décor. Over the course of seven days, our designers and artists recreated large-scale marketing photography; produced and installed temporary graphics for glass and solid walls, lighting, drapes and signage; and provided hair and make-up for models to give the salon a human touch of living beauty.

Harry Winston's jewels required a security detail as large as the Bombshell Production crew, and special accommodations were made in the design for advanced security systems and on-site monitoring of local police and private security personnel.

Proving that lightning can strike twice, Bombshell Productions reimagined the salon a second time for Voices for Children at the Mandarin Oriental Miami.

The Result

When the doors opened, the similarity between the renderings and the final result was breathtaking. Bombshell Productions had come so close to what was initially designed in the proposal that the renderings and photos of the finished product are almost identical.

As a title sponsor, Harry Winston's Pop Up salon welcomed 600 patrons into its plush enclave, where they could feel like they had been transported to an exclusive boutique, replete with luxurious accommodations and top-notch service.

In 2013, the project earned Bombshell Productions industry accolades with a Silver ADDY® Award, also known as the American Advertising Awards presented by American Advertising Federation, in local competitive categories.
